ABOUT PMH FOUNDATION

The PMH Foundation is the principal fundraising body for Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, raising funds to provide much needed medical equipment and services.

The Foundation works to maintain and develop the Hospital’s strong link with the community. The organisation is continually developing creative fundraising strategies aimed at supporting the ever-increasing needs of the Hospital, while also benefiting donors.

Western Australia is a vast state of more than two and a half million square kilometres – approximately a third of the Australian continent. PMH is WA’s only specialist children’s hospital and treats around twenty thousand children and teenagers every year from isolated and rural areas as well as cities and towns.

The Foundation is dedicated to working with the community to improve the quality of life for all sick Western Australian children. It encourages and facilitates the general public, community groups and businesses to pull together and support the Hospital in providing the very best of care.

Heavy use of the Hospital’s facilities, and the rapid rate of modern medical advancements, means ensuring the best possible care for kids is a never-ending task.

MAJOR CAMPAIGNS

The PMH Foundation has several campaigns that run annually, supporting specific projects and events. These include:

• Wear a Bear Day
• Great Date Auction
• Allendale Abseil
• Bear by Night Ball
• Ruggies Recycling Program
• Fundraising networking groups such as Women of the West
• Hundreds of affiliated fundraising events

PMH Foundation merchandise is also available and is a very popular programme aimed at providing another avenue for the community to support the sick and injured children in our State. PMH Foundation merchandise is available from the PMH Kiosk, Level 3, and the PMH Foundation.
