HINTS FOR USING OUR INTERNET SITE
Our aim is to provide a site with informative content
that is accessible by a wide audience. However, this is
an ongoing process and we welcome all feedback
and suggestions about the PMH internet site. The main
guidelines we reference are the Guidelines
for State Government Websites and the W3C
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Please note the following hints about using the internet
site are merely guidelines provided for convenience. We
cannot guarantee they will work on all computers.

The text on this site can be increased or decreased in
size.
To alter the size of text:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer go to View>Text Size>And
then the appropriate size
- Firefox go to View>Increase Text Size or Decrease

FORMAT OF MATERIAL
If material on the site is not provided in a format appropriate
for your needs please contact
us and wherever possible we will provide the information
for you in another format. Our File
Formats page offers information on file types hosted
on this site which include PDF, MS Word, Powerpoint and
MPEG. Additional information that may help users download
and view PDFs is outlined below.

The menus on this site are Javascript. If your browser
does not have Javascript enabled please use the Sitemap
to navigate through the site.

IMAGES
This site has been designed to allow users to turn off
images and still be able to navigate. If you would like
to turn off images to allow for quicker download:
- Internet Explorer go to Tools>Internet Options…>Under
Multimedia uncheck Show pictures
- Firefox go to Tools>Options>Web Features>Uncheck
the Load Images box

RESOLUTION (SCREEN SIZE)
This site has been designed for a minimum screen resolution
of 800x600 pixels. If you are using a lower screen resolution
you still be able to use the site but will need to scroll
horizontally. Or you may choose to change your screen resolution:
- Windows go to Start>Settings>ControlPanel>Display>Settings
and move the slides under Display Area to choose a resolution.
- Mac go to Apple menu>Control panels>monitors and
Sound>Monitor and choose a resolution.

PRINTING
Web pages
To print webpages click on the image on the top
right hand of the page. This will create a simpler version
of the page without the top and left-hand navigation. Then
print using the normal browser options.

ADOBE ACROBAT/ PDF
How to view and open
Some documents on this website are in a PDF format and require
the Adobe PDF Reader to view. If you don't have Adobe PDF
Reader installed on your computer please click on the following
link to go to the Adobe site and download the Reader.

It is free to download and install.
Security
Some PDF files on this site are secure documents
and will require Adobe Reader 5.0 or higher to open. This
will be indicated on the page linking to the document. If
you open these documents with a lesser version of Adobe
Reader you will probably see a blank page. You can download
the latest version of Adobe Reader from the link above.
Printing
We suggest you click on the print button on the
Adobe Reader toolbar.
Problems opening PDFs
Large PDF files may take some time to download
or print depending on the speed of your internet connection.
If you are having trouble opening or printing a PDF file
try saving the file to your computer and then try opening
or printing.
To save a copy to your computer:
- Right click file name (link ) to the PDF document.
- Select “Save target as” (in Internet Explorer)
or “save link as” (in Firefox) and save it
on your computer.
- Then go to the document and open it.
Accessibility
Some people, such as those using screen reader
software or mobile devices, may have problems accessing
PDFs. Adobe does provide some tools for such people that
are available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_onlinetools.html
However, please note some PDF files on this website are
secure documents and these services will not work. Please
contact us if you need
a document and are not able to access it as a PDF. We will
provide the document in an alternative format wherever possible.
