  • Support Services

PMH is committed to creating a work environment that is satisfying and productive. High standards of performance are expected from all employees, making it a satisfying organisation for those seeking achievement, responsibility, career development and personal growth.

We have a non-smoking policy and strategy that demonstrates our commitment to the health and well being of our staff and the community we serve. The PMH environment is totally smoke-free as smoking is not permitted in any hospital building, vehicle, car park or grounds.

PMH aims to create a work environment that provides flexibility for our employees, enabling them to achieve a better balance between work, family and life commitments. A variety of family friendly entitlements and flexible work practices are offered to support our commitment to diversity and equal opportunity. These include, but are not limited to, part-time employment, flexible working hours, purchased leave and family/carer’s leave. Employees are given the opportunity to negotiate flexible working arrangements wherever possible, subject to the requirements of their position, work area and/or employment conditions.

All PMH employees are offered the opportunity to participate in flexible remuneration (salary) packaging. Salary packaging is an Australian Tax Office approved means of maximising take-home salary. It involves restructuring income by choosing to receive salary as a combination of cash and approved benefit items that are paid out of a person’s pre-tax salary.

If you are considering applying for employment at PMH, it is important you are aware that we are committed to the care and protection of children and young people. This commitment is reflected in our recruitment and selection processes. Referee checking will be undertaken as a pre-requisite to every recommendation for appointment to assist in the assessment of whether or not an applicant is of good character and suitable for employment at PMH. Potential employees are also subjected to rigorous criminal record screening through the Federal Government agency, Crimtrac.
